Job summary

Smartsheet is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to build the next generation of our platform, tackling distributed systems challenges with a talented team. You will mentor engineers, review code, and lead architectural discussions while partnering with product managers to shape our licensing and monetization stack.

You will work with Kotlin, Java, and TypeScript on scalable backend services in AWS and Kubernetes, guiding critical initiatives for FY28 and beyond.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of programming experience with full stack technologies (Java, Kotlin, or TypeScript).
• 1+ year professional experience leveraging AI to improve personal productivity in SaaS features.
• Experience developing, documenting, and supporting REST APIs.
• Experience building highly scalable, highly available applications in the cloud.
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis.
