Arthrex is seeking a Software Engineer to join our US-based remote team. You will develop and support high-quality software across the stack, contributing to innovative medical device software that supports surgeons and patients worldwide.

You will work with Go, modern cloud tooling, and CI/CD pipelines to deliver reliable and scalable solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams while learning new technologies.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Go programming experience with backend services.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with AWS and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CDK).

Main Objective:

Develop, support, and maintain high-end and innovative software applications that support Arthrex’s mission of helping surgeons treat their patients better. Write high-quality, reliability, and maintainable code and collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Actively participates in software development and team ceremonies as a member of a cross functional software development team.
• Develop software features using established patterns and technology.
• Contributes to all aspects of the technology stack from client-side programming to developing and deploying back-end services
• Monitors applications for abnormalities and looks for areas to improve application availability and speed.
• Investigates and addresses bugs.
• Conducts code reviews, provides feedback, and suggests changes as needed.
• Continuously learn new frameworks, programming languages, and tooling.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners, maintaining open and respectful communication.
• Occasional travel for training, meetings or trade shows may be required.

Skills:

• Programming experience with Go
• Experience writing tests to validate code changes.
• Experience with distributed version control systems such as Git.
• Experience using agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with a deployment pipeline such as GitHub Actions of Jenkins
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace or Grafana
• Golang
• Programming experience with Go
• Experience developing and supporting back-end services in a professional environment
• Experience with distributed systems or event-driven architectures is a plus
• Relational database design and SQL; experience with PostgreSQL preferred
• Experience with message queues and asynchronous processing
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code (AWS, CDK or Terraform) a plus
