Job summary

Arthrex is seeking a Software Engineer to join a remote-capable US team based in Boston. You will contribute to design, development, and support of high-quality healthcare applications, collaborating across the stack and across cross-functional partners.

The role emphasizes delivering reliable, scalable software, with opportunities to learn new technologies and participate in cross-functional development activities. Occasional travel for training or meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Programming experience with Go.
• Experience writing tests to validate code changes.
• Experience with distributed version control systems such as Git.
• Experience using agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with a deployment pipeline such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace or Grafana.
• Relational database design and SQL; experience with PostgreSQL preferred.
• Experience with message queues and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code (AWS, CDK or Terraform) a plus.

• Actively participates in software development and team ceremonies as a member of a cross functional software development team.
• Develop software features using established patterns and technology.
• Contributes to all aspects of the technology stack from client-side programming to developing and deploying back-end services
• Monitors applications for abnormalities and looks for areas to improve application availability and speed.

• Conducts code reviews, provides feedback, and suggests changes as needed.
• Continuously learn new frameworks, programming languages, and tooling.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners, maintaining open and respectful communication.
• Occasional travel for training, meetings or trade shows may be required.
