Job description

Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend systems
Develop APIs, microservices, and server-side components
Contribute to backend architecture and design decisions
Design and optimize relational database schemas and queries
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers on features and improvements
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize system performance
Refactor code to improve scalability and maintainability

Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, libraries, and AI-assisted development tooling

Requirements

6+ years of professional experience in backend development
Proficiency in Java is a must
Experience with Spring Boot is a must
Solid knowledge of RESTful API design, best practices, and implementation
Strong expertise in relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and data integrity and consistency
Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system design principles
Experience building and maintaining distributed systems and microservices
Practical, hands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor
Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code and take ownership of shipped work
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working in Agile methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required
