Job summary

Teradyne in North Reading, MA is seeking an experienced Software Engineer/Lead to develop high-quality software for our Automated Test Equipment family. You will balance requirements, design, development, testing and maintenance with a collaborative, on-site role at our North Reading office, with some hybrid flexibility.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software systems, strong C++, C#, and .NET, solid data structures/OS knowledge, and hands-on experience with Visual Studio, Git and Agile

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing software systems for commercial applications.
• Strong experience with C++, C#, and the .NET stack.
• Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency with development tools: Visual Studio, ClearCase, Git.
• Familiarity with Agile development lifecycles.
• Experience in large, complex software systems in a hardware/software environment.
• BS/MS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and design software solutions within Teradyne's architecture.
• Design, implement, test, and deploy software components for Teradyne's Automated Test Equipment family.
• Create robust, scalable, high-performance software with maintainability in mind.
• Collaborate with team members to review deliverables and provide constructive feedback.
• Work with application and field engineers to understand customer features and use cases.
• Tackle complex problems and develop innovative software solutions.
• Lead brainstorming sessions and contribute to product, process, and team improvements.
