Job summary

Teradyne in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Senior Automation Software Engineer to design and extend software for a large test system, integrating capital equipment and factory information software. You will collaborate with engineers across disciplines and with a global design team, mostly on-site in Sunnyvale, with moderate travel within the US and to Southeast Asia.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of C#/.NET software development on Windows with Visual Studio, experience with distributed

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of software development experience with C#/.NET on Windows.
Solid experience developing distributed and multi-threaded applications.
Strong object-oriented design knowledge.
Automation software experience with motion control, sequencing and process control logic.
Experience integrating commercial automation/motion control products is a plus.
Knowledge of kinematics and control theory is a plus.
Background in semiconductors or test equipment is a plus.
Experience with WPF, TCP/IP, database programming a plus.
Ability to work with AI-based code generators.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines.

Responsibilities

Design and extend software for a large test system with multiple software layers.
Design operating software for capital equipment, factory information systems and applications.
Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines to diagnose and solve complex system problems.
Collaborate with a global design team.
Moderate travel within the US and to Southeast Asia.
