Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Scout team. You will build AI-powered experiences across Remitly’s website, mobile app, and third-party platforms, enabling money transfers and task automation with a robust conversational AI platform.

You will collaborate with UX, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and platform engineering teams, shaping technical strategy while delivering scalable, secure AI-enabled features.

Qualifications

• BS in CS or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with large-scale web architectures.
• Experience with backend languages Java or Golang.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling and practices.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements.
• Design, code, and test APIs, data storage, and third-party integrations.
• Maintain system stability and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, compliance and legal teams.
• Lead technical strategy, ship features and systems.
• Evaluate AI-generated code for correctness and security.
