Job summary

Lumen Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deliver impactful software solutions in an agile environment. The role focuses on transforming requirements into scalable systems that power AI-ready connectivity for enterprises and governments.

The candidate will collaborate with peers across disciplines, participate in code reviews, and contribute to production systems with high performance and reliability. Remote work within the US is supported.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in software development with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
4+ years of experience with a Master’s degree.
Knowledge of software development methodologies, standards and coding best practices.
Experience in Agile practices including planning, grooming, sprint management and standups.
Experience with Oracle RDBMS and SQL; cloud development with Azure DevOps; familiarity with JIRA.

Responsibilities

Collaborate in an Agile Scrum team to design, develop, test and deliver software solutions.
Work with product developers to define automated tests.
Document work to promote transparency and reuse.
Build production-quality enterprise systems with scalable, reliable performance.
Participate in code reviews and manage multiple projects.
