Job summary

Huntress is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Agentic SOC team. You’ll build core backend components of an AI-driven SOC system that ingests telemetry, reasons with LLMs, and presents evidence-backed conclusions across thousands of customer tenants.

You will work with SOC analysts, researchers, and product managers to ship end-to-end features with a security-first mindset in a 100% remote environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience building applications with LLMs, including tool use and evaluation
• Understanding of how LLM-based systems fail and testing habits
• Backend fundamentals: APIs, queues, Postgres, Redis
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and AI tooling
• BS or MS in CS or Engineering, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Build and ship core parts of the Agentic SOC system
• Turn analyst expertise into agent behavior for triage and investigations
• Develop LLM-powered features to pre-process tool outputs
• Measure impact with evaluations and data-driven decisions
• Ensure production-grade, secure, observable code
• Collaborate across SOC, researchers, and product teams
• Balance rapid prototyping with careful design in high-stakes environments
