Job summary

WME is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in California to design and build scalable web applications and APIs using React, TypeScript, and Next.js. You will develop and maintain a Node.js backend, work on relational databases (PostgreSQL), and contribute to architectural decisions across frontend and backend systems.

This role requires 5+ years of full-stack experience, cloud familiarity (AWS/Azure), Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solid software engineering experience.
• Full-stack development with modern web apps.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript and Next.js.
• Backend experience with Node.js and APIs.
• Relational databases, PostgreSQL, and cloud familiarity.
• Containerized workloads and IaC with Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable web applications and APIs using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Develop and maintain Node.js backend with REST, gRPC, and GraphQL APIs.
• Contribute to architectural decisions across frontend and backend systems.
• Partner with product managers and designers to deliver thoughtful solutions.
• Translate operational needs into practical technical solutions.
• Participate in and improve CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling.
• Mentor new engineers on the team.
