Job summary

Elsevier is expanding Wellsheet into a new clinical AI experience and is seeking engineers to own end-to-end agent features from backend to UI. You will work closely with a senior platform team to ship AI-driven clinical tools that clinicians use at the bedside across Epic, Cerner, and Athena.

You will contribute from day one to design, implement, and evaluate features, with a focus on measurable outcomes and robust tooling.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Ruby; able to treat prompts and models as components in a system you own.
• End-to-end ownership from backend to UI with clean integration seams.
• Ability to measure impact with evaluation and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Own agent-powered features end to end: prompt and orchestration logic, backend plumbing, UI integration.
• Refine features through design, implementation and measured rollout.
• Build and extend evaluation coverage for shipped features; ensure measurable outcomes.
• Develop new presentation methods for agent outputs, including interactive views and richer in-chat results.
• Improve the synthetic data simulator and tooling around it.
• Collaborate with Product to land agent features in the clinical experience and own an agent surface.
