Job summary

Trellis is seeking a Software Engineer III (Finance) to join the Distributed Applications team. You will design, develop, and maintain web, mobile, AI/ML, and legacy applications, collaborating with architects and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities include leading development efforts, implementing CI/CD, containerization, and applying security, performance, and reliability standards. Expect hybrid work with onsite rounds in Round Rock, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Five (5) years of total professional experience delivering technology solutions across application development, cloud services, data platforms, automation, AI-enabled technologies, and related software tools.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, debugging, testing, deploying, and maintaining Java applications and RESTful web services.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Maven, Git, and CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience in building and delivering AI-enabled application features, including LLM integration, prompt engineering, RAG, or AI agent and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and lifecycle support of web, mobile, legacy, and AI-enabled applications.
• Translate requirements into solution designs, technical specifications, and maintainable components.
• Design and integrate AI/ML capabilities and data pipelines using appropriate frameworks.
