This position can be remote within the United States, but employees have the option to work from any of our office locations: Ann Arbor, MI; Los Altos, CA; Seattle, WA; or Tysons, VA.

Role Summary:

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on AI and LLM. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Manager for Threat Hunting and Advanced Solutions — a team responsible for building high-impact product features and workflows on the Censys platform. You will collaborate with experts dedicated to understanding customer needs and securing their cloud environments. Your work will directly shape user interactions with our platform by making it smarter, faster, and more intuitive.

What You’ll Do:

• Rapidly prototype and deploy AI features that enhance search, recommendations, and automation.
• Leverage AI to reduce workflow friction, personalize interactions, and surface insights.
• Develop AI-driven analytics and automation tools to enable better, faster decision-making.
• Collaborate with product, design, and frontend engineers to build AI-powered UI components that are native, intuitive, and useful.

What You’ll Bring:

• Full-Stack AI Development
  • Expertise in backend engineering with Golang
  • Strong experience with Python (FastAPI) for backend API development
  • Proficiency in React and frontend frameworks for AI UI integration

  • Experience integrating AI-driven search, recommendations, or automation tools in frontend applications

  • Familiarity with RAGAS, LangSmith, and Regression Testing

Salary range: $134,000 - $180,000 USD + bonus and equity.
