Job summary

Hello Patient is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to build Mia, an AI assistant for healthcare practices, spanning frontend, backend, and AI workflows. You will own meaningful projects, work with product/design, and contribute to a fast-moving startup.

This role focuses on delivering reliable, scalable software across end-to-end experiences, including AI-powered healthcare systems and integrations with healthcare infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production applications.
• Experience shipping end-to-end features.
• Strong TypeScript, React, Next.js frontend skills and Python FastAPI backend.
• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, APIs, testing, and production reliability.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and ship customer-facing features across frontend, backend, and AI workflows.
• Develop intuitive UX with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Build backend services and APIs with Python and FastAPI.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to translate requirements into solutions.
• Own projects from design through deployment and iteration.
• Improve reliability, observability, and engineering workflows.
