Job summary

Precise Systems seeks a Senior Software Engineer to advance AI capabilities in expeditionary systems, including sensor kits, UxS, C2, and TAK. The role involves real-time data mesh work in Rust, frontend React, ML integration, and collaboration with senior management.

In-person required. You will design and implement software for tactical applications, test in field experiments, and ensure robust data pipelines across sensors and C2. Strong Python and containerization skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• 10+ years in roles such as data/software/engineer/analyst or related fields.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Expert Python programming.
• Intermediate Rust or Go programming.
• Experience normalizing tactical data to common standards.
• Experience with multiple data formats (CSV, JSON, XML, Parquet, ORC).
• Familiarity with event streaming libraries/platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, Zenoh).
• Experience deploying and monitoring data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address Navy operational challenges using AI in expeditionary systems.
• Design, develop, and implement software for tactical applications.
• Test software at field experiments ensuring robust data flow between sensors, UxS, and C2.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate models into existing systems.
• Monitor data pipelines and analytics for accuracy and reliability.
• Stay updated with advances in data architecture and propose innovative solutions.
• Connect data pipelines with operational systems in partnership with systems engineers.
• Contribute to long-term technology strategies within the Navy domain.
