Job summary

Precise Systems seeks a Senior Software Engineer to advance AI capabilities in expeditionary systems, including sensor kits, UxS, C2, and TAK. Real-time Zenoh data mesh in Rust, frontend React apps, and ML model integration form core tasks.

This in-person role supports Navy missions and involves field testing and cross-team collaboration. You will work with engineers and domain experts to design software for tactical applications, ensure robust data flows, and contribute to long-term tech

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• 10+ years in relevant roles (data/AI/software).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Expert Python programming.
• Experience with multiple data formats (CSV, JSON, XML, Parquet/ORC).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address Navy operational challenges with AI in expeditionary systems.
• Design, develop, and implement software for tactical applications.
• Test software at field experiments ensuring high-quality data flow between sensors, UxS, and C2.
• Work with ML engineers to integrate ML models into existing systems.
• Monitor data pipelines and analytics for accuracy, reliability, and robustness.
• Propose and implement innovative data architecture solutions.
• Connect data pipelines with operational systems in collaboration with systems engineers.
• Contribute to long-term technology strategies within the Department of the Navy.
