Job summary

The Developer Link in New York is seeking a strong backend-focused engineer to own the development of core features and APIs. You will work across the stack when needed, contributing to internal apps, data pipelines, and AI workflows in a fast-moving startup.

Ideal candidates have solid Python backend experience, production deployment skills, and some React/TypeScript comfort to handle front-end touches. Equity is offered and the role is office-based four days per week.

• A self-motivated engineer who questions assumptions and takes ownership.

I’m working with an early-stage AI startup building software that helps banks and wealth managers deliver personalised financial guidance to more people.

They’re looking for a strong backend-focused engineer who can own application development and build features end to end, working across the stack when needed.

You’ll work on core product features, internal applications and public APIs, alongside distributed backend systems, data pipelines and agentic AI workflows.

They’re looking for:

• Strong Python, backend architecture and relational database experience
• Experience taking applications and features into production

• Confidence using modern AI development tools
