Job summary

Workiva Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions across a modern tech stack, including Java, Kotlin, Go on the backend and TypeScript, React, and Dart on the frontend.

You will leverage AI tooling to accelerate development, collaborate with product owners and designers, and write clean, well-tested code while mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices across the team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, OOP, and cloud-based distributed systems.
• Expertise in modern programming languages such as Dart, React, TypeScript, Go, Java, and/or Kotlin.
• Expertise in debugging complex systems or applications.
• Experience as a technical mentor and in agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions meeting business and technical requirements.
• Utilize AI tooling to accelerate development and enhance features.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and stakeholders to refine requirements and align with product vision.
• Write clean, maintainable code following industry standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
• Develop and execute test plans and automated tests for Workiva solutions.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across services and applications.
• Collaborate with support teams to triage production issues and improve reliability.
• Engage in product discovery activities to derive insights and identify opportunities for innovation.
