Job summary

EvolutionIQ in Chicago is seeking a hands-on Senior Engineer to write production code, modernize legacy systems, and build scalable backend services across EvolutionIQ and CCC products. You will collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Data Engineering to deliver impactful features, prototype new ideas, and raise engineering standards.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, end-to-end feature delivery, and strong communication across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience delivering features end-to-end.
• Strong hands-on Python development experience.
• Experience building applications with TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience designing scalable backend systems with relational databases.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted tools and collaborating across teams.
• Ability to write design docs and participate in code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance enterprise SaaS applications across EvolutionIQ and CCC products, spending the majority of time writing production code.
• Modernize existing systems by working through complex legacy platforms while contributing to new product development and scalable backend services.
• Leverage AI-assisted and agentic engineering tools to accelerate development, improve engineering productivity, and rapidly prototype new ideas.
• Partner closely with Product, Data Science, and Data Engineering to deliver scalable, intuitive applications while contributing to technical design, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
