Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of full-time Ruby on Rails experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong individual contributor and team contributor.
• Experience with SDLC, web app development, and project management.
• Experience with source control and issue tracking (GitHub, GitLab, Jira).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
• Experience with event streaming (Apache Kafka, Amazon SQS).
• Experience with API integration between internal and third-party systems.
• Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Digital Services leadership on architecture, roadmap, and team goals.
• Maintain software and build new features addressing customers and company needs.
• Uphold code quality through automated testing and best practices.
• Leverage Claude Code and AI-assisted tools for planning, parallelizing, and executing work.
• Set code standards across projects and contribute in code reviews.
