Job summary

Serve Robotics is seeking a proactive software engineer to join the Operations team. You will build and maintain production-grade tools that improve delivery quality and operator effectiveness.

You’ll work across languages with an emphasis on Elixir, and you’ll contribute to a cloud-based stack on Google Cloud Platform while collaborating with Operations, Product Engineering, and other technical teams. Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with shipped software.
• Strong production coding capability: design, implement, test, debug, deploy and maintain apps.
• GCP experience: built, deployed or supported apps in a cloud environment.
• Able to learn quickly in an unfamiliar stack; Elixir experience not required but expected.
• Experience building tools or automations for operations or business users.
• Proactive, self-starting approach with ownership of problems.

Responsibilities

• Discover needs before they become urgent by exploring workflows with Operations.
• Prioritize and deliver quick wins with clear recommendations.
• Build iteratively with users, gathering feedback and refining solutions.
• Own Operations applications: dashboards, automations, integrations, and tooling.
• Develop across our stack; work with Elixir-heavy core and GCP-based services.
• Bring engineering discipline to Al-built software: add tests, monitoring, security, and maintainable structure.
• Drive cross-functional execution with Operations and Engineering, anticipating changes and dependencies.
• Champion practical Al adoption and safe, repeatable practices.
• Stay accountable after launch: support shipped software and ensure durable fixes.
