Job summary
Vertafore is seeking a Software Engineer II in Denver to build high-quality web applications and contribute to a fast-paced agile team. You will own feature development, debugging, testing, and documentation while mentoring teammates and sharing knowledge with the team.
Required are 2–3 years of Java/.NET experience, React.js, RESTful services, and a security-minded approach. This role involves occasional travel and collaboration across products in a dynamic insurance tech environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 2-3 years of professional Java/.NET experience with common frameworks.
- Experience with JavaScript and React.js or similar.
- Experience in an Agile environment.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with RESTful web services.
- Knowledge of security best practices.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to multiple functional and technical areas within a product.
- Develops new features and fixes existing ones.
- Writes unit and integration tests.
- Mentors teammates and participates in code reviews.
- Documents technical designs and support materials.
