Job summary

Surescripts design, develop, assess, and troubleshoot software applications in an Agile environment for one of the nation's largest and most trusted healthcare information networks.

Collaborate with architects, customers, product partners, and other engineers to solve complex engineering challenges by building high-volume applications that process millions of transactions a day, store multiple terabytes of data, and serve hundreds of thousands of customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, CS or equivalent.
• 5+ years in progressive software engineering roles.
• Fluent in multiple languages: C#, Java, Groovy, Scala, Python, TS, JS.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineers; strong communication.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and troubleshooting of software in Agile settings.
• Provide technical leadership across epics, features, and apps.
• Lead design reviews, implement testing, monitor production systems.
• Promote quality practices and reduce defects through shift-left.
• Share knowledge and best practices in docs, training, and reviews.
• Design and maintain AI-enabled components with security and governance.
• Identify AI/automation uses to boost productivity and outcomes.
• Mentor teammates and communicate complex ideas clearly.
