Job summary

Wellington Management is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Investor Modeling team and drive the design and evolution of Python-based modeling services and dashboard applications across the full stack.

You will help integrate AI-assisted development practices, shape architecture, and raise the technical bar for engineers while delivering impact across research and portfolio construction workflows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing and developing durable software solutions.
• Experience with SDLC tooling: Jira, Git, CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), and AWS.
• Proficiency in Python with data libraries (pandas, NumPy) and ORM (SQLAlchemy).
• Experience building production front-end apps with React, HTML, CSS, and consuming GraphQL/REST APIs.
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support investment modeling applications across full stack.
• Set technical direction for Python and dashboard stack; standardize libraries and tooling.
• Lead design reviews and provide architectural guidance to engineers.
• Integrate AI-driven capabilities into investment applications.
• Collaborate with analysts, QA, and investment professionals across requirements and testing.
• Manage delivery timelines and communicate risks.
