Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Optum Technology CLI team to design, build, and deploy automated coding workflows and tooling across our distributed development environments.

You will work with C#, .NET, Python, Angular, and React to deliver scalable, secure software, and you will implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Azure. Remote work is supported within the U.S., with occasional in-office expectations for Minneapolis or DC area roles.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 4+ years with C# and .NET.
• 4+ years full‑stack web development with Angular or React.
• 3+ years on Microsoft Azure and database platforms (SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB).
• 3+ years using GitHub for version control and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and deploy CLI components and tooling.
• Write clean full‑stack code using C#, .NET, Python, Angular, and React.
• Manage relational and NoSQL databases with SQL DB and Azure Cosmos DB.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Azure services.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate capabilities.
• Ensure security and scalability on Azure cloud.
