Posit is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team, working at the intersection of data science, infrastructure, and AI. You will help build new capabilities across our product suite and push those features into customers’ hands with a builder’s mindset and high agency.

You will collaborate across backend systems and data tooling, learn rapidly, and share knowledge with teammates while focusing on delivering measurable value for customers and users.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in either Go or Typescript as well as in either Python or R, and experience with backend systems, data tooling, and data science frameworks are helpful for this role.
• You are an enthusiastic generalist who thrives in the face of ambiguous requirements, with a builder’s instinct.

Responsibilities

• Ship code changes that meaningfully improve the experience for our customers within one week.
• See your changes reflected in our public releases within one month; participate in feature planning and understand how things fit together.
• Plan features and drive their development within three months; mentor teammates and learn from internal and external users.
