Job summary

Cooley AI, the innovation arm of a global technology law firm, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Innovation team in Los Angeles. You will lead web application development, design scalable APIs, and mentor developers while delivering high-quality solutions across the full SDLC.

Key responsibilities include UI design, database/server integration, and on-call support for production systems. A Bachelor’s degree plus 4+ years of experience are preferred; strong cloud and AI tooling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of modern web development experience and SDLC delivery.
• Proficiency with SQL Server, design, stored procedures, functions, and query optimization.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices with ASP.NET Core/.NET 6+ and C#.

Responsibilities

• Determine design methodologies and tool sets; design tests and implement code.
• Design and develop user interfaces for internet/intranet applications.
• Integrate applications with database architecture and server scripting; ensure connectivity.
• Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements and system functionality.
• Support and mentor other developers; provide coaching and education opportunities.
• Assist with QA, UAT, and ensure applications are usable and reliable.
• Consult manuals and reports to learn new development approaches.
• Participate in on-call rotation for production apps and services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
