Cooley LLP's Cooley AI unit seeks a Senior UX/UI Designer to join the Practice Engineering team in New York. You will focus on user research, testing, and iterative design for AI-driven features within a large law firm context, aligning with branding and compliance requirements.

Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and AI specialists, maintain a design system, and advocate accessible experiences across web and mobile apps. The role demands agile practices and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years direct UX/UI experience; senior roles may require 5+ years.
• Solid knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Kendo UI, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma for designing and prototyping.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards.
• Experience with data-driven design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gather insights and validate design decisions.
• Develop user flows and task analyses to ensure an optimal user experience.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma or similar tools.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and AI specialists to iteratively develop high-quality software solutions.
• Develop and maintain a design system or style guide for scalable, consistent experiences.
• Ensure designs meet WCAG standards and comply with enterprise requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to align with project goals.
