Job summary

Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to shape its Managed Kubernetes platform, focusing on orchestration, GPU-aware scheduling, and resilient distributed systems. You will work across the stack with NVIDIA partnerships to build scalable infrastructure for AI workloads.

You’ll contribute to the control plane, observability, and platform services for inference, collaborating with teams on end-to-end automation and deployment tooling.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering with ownership of significant scope
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals: controllers, schedulers, operators, CRDs
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, fault tolerance and large-scale failure handling
• Experience operating control plane and low-level pieces of large-scale Kubernetes clusters
• Experience with observability at scale: Prometheus, Grafana, tracing, alerting
• Proficiency in Go and Python; collaboration on shared codebases
• Solid knowledge of Linux, networking, containers, and cloud infrastructure
• Take pride in owning and delivering core components of products and platforms

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable control plane services and Kubernetes controllers
• Develop automation in Go/Python for end-to-end cluster lifecycle management
• Build GPU‑aware orchestration systems and support GPU scheduling
• Collaborate on networking solutions for AI workloads (CNI, InfiniBand, RDMA, GPUDirect)
• Write resilient systems with timeouts, retries, and degraded-mode operation
• Develop platform services for inference and autoscaling based on load
• Create internal tools and CLIs for deploying and monitoring inference services
• Support and debug production issues via on-call rotation
