Job summary

DataSnipper seeks a Senior Software Engineer in New York to join the Evidence Request Management team behind Alwin, our Agentic Automation Platform for audit and finance. You will build and operate agentic workflows that draft requests, chase clients, and deliver traceable evidence using Python, FastAPI and React.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software engineering with production-grade Python.
• Hands-on experience building and operating agentic systems in production: control loops, retries and human‑in‑the‑loop.
• Experience building workflow-heavy products: multi-step state, notifications, external users.
• Solid experience building data-driven web APIs on a major cloud platform.
• Strong fundamentals in software architecture, system design and data modelling.
• A track record of owning product features end-to-end, including frontend work in React or similar.
• Experience with testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E) and a quality-first mindset.
• Proficient with AI-assisted Engineering (Claude Code).
• Excellent communication; able to work with auditors and product partners to define what 'correct' means.

Responsibilities

• Build agents that run the evidence request lifecycle: draft requests, assign, follow up, receive, review and close.
• Design long-running, event-driven agent behavior reacting to client uploads, replies and deadlines.
• Validate received evidence against requests, flag missing samples or wrong documents, decide when to involve a human.
• Collaborate with Agent Runtime and Document Intelligence teams on tools, extraction and evaluation.
