Job summary

Maxima, based in San Mateo, is building the first agentic AI platform for enterprise accounting. As a Senior or Staff Engineer, you will own major product areas, tackle high-impact problems, and work directly with customers to shape requirements and feedback.

You'll join an engineering team with experience from Robinhood, Glean, Google, Netflix, and Meta, building scalable, reliable systems that process large volumes of financial data while aligning with SOX standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years building systems at high-growth companies.
• Strong familiarity with web development, relational databases, and distributed systems.
• Proven track record of owning a product or engineering area end-to-end and driving cross-team initiatives.
• Ability to design, deploy, and iterate on infrastructure that is accurate and reliable under high-volume financial data.
• Comfort working directly with customers to understand real-world requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; you raise the bar for the people around you.
