Job summary

Amazon Worldwide Advertising is seeking a seasoned software engineer to design and implement features across multiple areas of Amazon’s advertising ecosystem. You will tackle challenging problems, uphold coding and testing standards, and influence technical direction to improve software quality and user experience.

The role requires mentoring peers, collaborating with partner teams and driving reliable, scalable solutions within the PEG organization, contributing to fast-growing advertising

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Designs and independently implements key features solving difficult software problems for our partners, potentially spanning multiple areas of Amazon’s advertising ecosystem.
• Solves complex technical problems with simple solutions wherever possible
• Demonstrates knowledge and use of coding and testing best practices
• Influences the team’s technical direction and maintains a high quality bar, having a direct impact on both software quality and experience for our users
• Effectively communicates technical and non-technical ideas to diverse audiences
• Collaborates with peers and mentors to receive guidance, and acts as a mentor to others as required
• Cultivates relationships with partner teams
