Job summary

Zapata Technology, located in Maryland, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to support software systems at Aberdeen Proving Ground. The SWE will contribute to design, development, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting to meet mission requirements in a demanding environment.

You will work onsite at APG with 9-5 PM EST core hours. A TS/SCI clearance is required to access sensitive information and customer data during project activities.

Summary

Zapata Technology is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (SWE) to support software engineering activities at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG). The Senior Software Engineer will provide functional and empirical analysis in support of the design, development, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of software systems.

This position requires strong software engineering experience and the ability to analyze and solve complex engineering problems in support of mission and customer requirements.

The position is full-time and onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG).

Responsibilities

• Providing functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems.
• Supporting a variety of software solutions, including application software, utility software, development software/tools, and diagnostic software.

Education/Experience include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or another Engineering or Technical discipline.
• Minimum of nine (9) years of professional experience within the last fifteen (15) years.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work 9-5 PM EST Monday-Friday as these are the customer’s core support hours.
• Possible prolonged periods of stationary work.
