Job summary

Onto Innovation seeks a talented Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced machine vision software for automated inspection and metrology in semiconductor manufacturing. You will bridge hardware and software, implementing robust algorithms in C++ with HALCON integration to achieve sub-micron accuracy and high throughput.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on experience in machine vision, strong OO design, and familiarity with semiconductor processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on machine vision software development in semiconductor or high-precision electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with MVTec HALCON (HDevEngine or HALCON/C++).
• Strong knowledge of C++, OO design, data structures, and memory management.
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes (wafer inspection, die bonding, wire bonding, packaging).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies and digital image processing, matrix mathematics, and 2D/3D geometry.

Responsibilities
