Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a seasoned .NET Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications in a primarily backend role. You will implement web services, REST/SOAP interfaces, and data exchanges, while automating tasks with scripting and integrating systems across Microsoft 365 and Azure.

• Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).

ASRC Federal Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced .NET Software Engineer with strong proficiency in .NET development, system integration, and enterprise application engineering. This role supports mission‑critical IT environments by building, maintaining, and modernizing applications that enable secure data exchange, workflow automation, and efficient business operations.

This position primarily focuses on backend and integration development, including web services, APIs, XML/JSON data sharing, automation scripting, enterprise system connectivity, and optimizing the.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain .NET applications (C#, .NET Framework / .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API) supporting enterprise operations.
• Develop and integrate web services and system interfaces using REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and related technologies.
• Create and maintain scripting solutions (PowerShell, Python, or similar) that automate processes, improve system efficiency, and support operational tasks.
• Build and support data integration workflows that exchange, validate, and transform information between systems.
• Query data, write database code (SQL), and optimize data access to improve application performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, translate business needs into functional, maintainable technical solutions.
• Maintain and enhance SharePoint components, workflows, and application integrations (as needed).
• Develop secure, reliable methods for data sharing and system connectivity across Microsoft 365, Azure services, and external APIs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across .NET applications, integration points, data interfaces, and automation scripts.
• Optimize existing applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Document technical designs, integration mappings, workflow logic, and operational procedures.
• Participate in planning, testing, and deploying enhancements, releases, and new system features.
• Provide support and user guidance to ensure successful adoption of deployed solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in software engineering or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands‑on experience with C#, .NET Framework / .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and general Microsoft development frameworks.
• Experience with system integration technologies, such as REST APIs, SOAP services, XML, JSON, and data‑exchange formats.
• Experience developing automation or integration scripts (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
• Familiarity with Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server or other relational databases, including stored procedures or data modeling.
• Strong ability to write SQL queries, stored procedures, and database‑driven logic to support application features and performance optimization.
• Understanding of secure application development practices, authentication, authorization, and compliance requirements.
• Experience troubleshooting complex application issues and providing clear, actionable resolutions.
• Strong communication skills and experience working directly with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint Online, or related services.
• Ability to deliver solutions in a fast‑paced, stakeholder‑driven environment.
• Active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, or Power BI (optional but beneficial).
• Experience integrating applications with Microsoft 365 or Azure cloud services.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, enterprise ITSM platforms, or workflow orchestration tools.
• Understanding of modern DevOps practices, version control, CI/CD pipelines, or automated deployments.
• Foundational knowledge of AWS cloud services (AWS Cloud Practitioner or higher).
