Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the logistics industry, seeks a Senior/Staff Platform Engineer to drive greenfield development of multiple platforms built around distributed systems and event-driven architecture. The role focuses on system design, streaming platforms, and scalable big data environments.

You will design, develop, and operate backend components, automate critical workflows, and contribute to AI-driven logistics, real-time visibility, and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with a strong focus on distributed systems and backend platforms.
• Proficiency in languages such as Java, Go, or Python.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and data stores (SQL/NoSQL).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and incident management.

Optomi in partnership with a leader in the logistics industry is seeking a highly motivated Senior/Staff Platform Engineer to help with greenfield development of multiple platforms focused around distributed systems, event driven architecture, system design, streaming platforms and more highly scalable big data environments.

Position Summary: As a Senior/Staff Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and operating distributed backend platform components that serve as the backbone for logistics optimization. You will contribute to transformation through automation of critical workflows, predictive analytics, AI-driven logistics, real-time visibility, and sustainability initiatives.
