Senior Software Engineer (1 Staff Software Engineer opening and 2 Senior Software Engineer openings)

Location: Remote (Expect 10-15% travel for team collaboration sessions at minimum quarterly, but sometimes monthly)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports to: Sr Manager, SW Engineering

Target Compensation: $121K-$131K with a 7.5% Bonus

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for technical and architectural leadership across Product Engineering teams within the Web Experience domains. You’ll lead implementation of the full stack web experience and be responsible for all development practices with the web and services (integration) platform, while continuing to be hands-on technically and contributing meaningfully to initiatives at the code level. You’ll champion code and architectural quality, implementing strategies to safely and reliably make changes to production systems frequently and sustainably. You’ll work closely with our UX/UI department, representing the technical vision for our products in road mapping and planning exercises. You’ll collaborate with designers, product managers, developers, and other leaders to deliver compelling and efficient tools/products. You’ll proactively identify and resolve performance and scalability issues, and coach and train a team of developers, partnering with Engineering Managers and Tech leads on performance reviews. You will also participate in hiring new talent using your industry influence and knowledge.

This role is full stack, with flexibility for candidates stronger on either front end or back end, willing to perform both as needed.

Must be willing to work in a paired-programming model. Despite being a Staff Engineering role, it is also a hands-on individual contributor position.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with Product Teams to develop high-quality, performant products that meet technical standards
• Drive design adoption and help teams meet technical and business goals
• Develop and promote technical standards across the organization
• Build team skills through partnerships with Enablement teams and ensure team members have necessary tools and knowledge
• Coordinate with QA Engineers to deliver web product features

Experience:

• At least 10 years of enterprise web development experience, including 7 years of developing scalable, performant solutions and setting architectural directions
• Strong understanding of enterprise technology stacks
• Proven ability to apply technology solutions to business problems
• Experience with Kubernetes, container deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
• Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to stakeholders
• Experience with Kafka, Honeycomb, Datadog, CircleCI, Github, AWS, Kubernetes (or similar)

Education:

• College diploma or university degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or equivalent
