Job description

Bubbl is a podcast discovery platform powered by RSS2.0 and AI. We help listeners surface the exact audio moments they care about—and arm creators with tools for search, clipping, branded archives, and data‑driven distribution. Our stack is Node.js/Next.js on Google Cloud+Firebase, and we’re looking for a full‑stack engineer to own feature development end‑to‑end.

What You’ll Build

• Core Platform & API
• Design and ship new endpoints for audio ingestion, transcript indexing, and search.
• Optimize our Podcast Index integration: feed fetching, pagination, and metadata enrichment.
• Frontend Experiences
• Build React/Next.js UIs for creator dashboards, listener search, and clip‑creation workflows.
• Implement performant client‑side audio players with chapter markers and highlights.
• AI‑Powered Workflows
• Integrate and tune AI dev tools (Cursor, v0, GitHub Copilot, or similar) into our dev processes.
• Collaborate on pipelines that leverage GPT‑4o‑mini for transcript summarization, topic tagging, and smart clips.
• Mobile & SDKs
• Contribute to our iOS SDK for embedding Bubbl search and clip playback inside native apps.
• Ensure cross‑platform consistency and smooth offline experiences.

What We’re Looking For

• Solid Engineering Fundamentals: 3+ years building production web services in Node.js (TypeScript preferred) and React/Next.js.
• Cloud & Serverless: Hands‑on with Google Cloud Functions, Firebase Firestore/Storage, and CI/CD pipelines.
• API Integration: Proven experience consuming and designing APIs—bonus if you’ve worked with the Podcast Index API.
• Team Player: Excellent communicator, able to translate product requirements into technical designs and mentor junior engineers.

Nice‑to‑Haves

• Experience using AI‑powered dev tools (Cursor.dev, v0.dev, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to accelerate coding and code review.
• iOS development proficiency (Swift, SwiftUI, or Objective‑C) and familiarity with mobile SDK design.
• Direct experience with Podcasting2.0 standards and Podcast Index integrations.
• Prior work in Web3 or Lightning‑enabled applications.
