Qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience with a Bachelor’s degree; additional work experience may substitute for degree.
• Experience with large-scale, complex applications using Java, AWS, Lambda and Event Driven Architecture.
• Experience with REST API development and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with databases (PostGres, MySQL, Oracle, DynamoDB).
• Knowledge of patterns for large-scale applications.
• Strong automated testing habits (unit, integration, e2e).
• Care about accuracy and data integrity in systems that handle money.
• Billing, Pricing, or Payments domain experience.
• Excellent teamwork and communication.

The Billing and Monetization team builds the systems that drive BILL’s subscription and pricing. We’re developing a scalable, modular engine and a platform that lets internal teams enable billing for new products quickly. We also own the customer-facing pricing and upgrade/downgrade experience in the UI. Our work delivers incremental value for internal and external customers.

We’d love to chat if you have:

Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed below. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits. The estimated salary ranges noted below roles in the specific geographic zones

Zone 1: San Francisco Bay Area CA (includes HQ), New York City, Seattle, Los Angeles County

$152,500—$183,000 USD

Zone 2: CA (Non San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles County), Austin TX, Massachusetts

$137,300—$164,700 USD

Zone 3: Utah (includes Utah office), Dallas TX, Houston TX, Florida, North Carolina, Illinois, Colorado, Arizona, Georgia, Oregon, Pennsylvania

$129,600—$155,600 USD
