YARD Corporate is partnering with a trailblazing startup reshaping the QSR voice AI space. We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Infrastructure team, building a cloud-native distributed system in Python and Rust that handles real-time audio streams at scale.

You will own critical backend components, drive large initiatives from concept to production, and push for reliability, security (SOC 2) and observability. Strong leadership and deep systems knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with a focus on Python development.
• Deep, practical knowledge of Python Asyncio and Python profiling.
• Proven leadership capabilities with experience leading teams on ambiguous projects.
• Exceptional software design and architecture skills.
• Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes, Helm and Terraform.
• Solid understanding of Networking Protocols and Operating Systems.
• Experience delivering and scaling production-grade distributed cloud systems.
• Proficiency with observability stacks and gRPC troubleshooting.
• Strong LLM prompting capabilities alongside strong engineering fundamentals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent real-world experience.

We are partnering with a trailblazing startup that is reshaping the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry. Our client has built a highly reliable, scalable Voice AI platform capable of processing complex, real-time audio streams with over 96% accuracy. With the largest number of active deployments in their sector, they are successfully competing with global tech giants.

We are searching for an elite Senior Software Engineer to join their Infrastructure team. This is not your standard REST API/CRUD environment. You will be building and optimizing a complex, cloud-native distributed system written predominantly in Python and Rust, dealing with massive scale and real-time data processing.

Your Impact & Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Ownership: Take charge of critical components within our real-time, distributed backend ecosystem (Python/Rust).
• End-to-End Delivery: Drive large-scale, technically complex initiatives from initial concept to production, even when navigating incomplete or evolving requirements.
• System Reliability: Actively hunt down stability bottlenecks, solve highly complex production issues, and lead initiatives to drastically reduce the incident rate.
• Security & Compliance: Oversee the technical architecture of the SOC 2 compliance process, providing guidance and management to the team handling daily execution.
• Engineering Excellence: Continuously push the boundaries of development velocity without compromising our strict reliability standards.

Core Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a heavy focus on advanced Python development.
• Deep, practical knowledge of Python Asyncio and Python Profiling.
• Proven leadership capabilities – you have successfully led teams and navigated ambiguous projects independently.
• Exceptional software design and architecture skills.
• Hands-on expertise managing cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.
• Solid understanding of low-level concepts: Networking Protocols and Operating Systems.
• Battle-tested experience delivering, scaling, and troubleshooting production-grade, distributed cloud systems.
• Proficiency in modern observability stacks and gRPC troubleshooting.
• Strong LLM prompting capabilities (combined with the engineering fundamentals to build without them).
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills – capable of producing crisp, clear technical documentation.
• BSc in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent real-world experience.

Great to Have (Bonus Points)

• Background in owning technical SOC 2 compliance responsibilities.
• Experience with real-time communication protocols (WebRTC, STUN/TURN, SIP, RTP, HLS, RTMP).
• Proficiency in a strongly typed language (e.g., Rust, C++, Go, Java) or experience integrating Rust with Python (PyO3).
• Background in building/debugging real-time low-level systems (Kernel, RTOS, drivers) or audio programming.
• Active open-source contributions.
