Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a software-focused engineer for a long-term remote contract (20+ months). You will design and build scalable software and cloud infrastructure in AWS, applying OO Python and production-grade TypeScript, and implement IaC with Pulumi/CDK/Terraform.

Responsibilities include building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Jenkins, collaborating on architecture and performance, and mentoring peers to raise reliability and efficiency in distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or DevOps.
• Strong AWS experience, including cloud infrastructure and networking.
• Deep object-oriented Python development experience (beyond scripting/automation).
• Production experience with TypeScript.
• CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications.

This role will be a long-term contract, with a duration of 20+ months. The role will be fully remote.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or DevOps.
