Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is hiring a Cloud Engineer for a 12-month engagement, fully remote. You will collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and support cloud-based solutions using AWS, Python, and DevOps practices.

You will work on microservices, data warehousing with Snowflake, and build CI/CD pipelines, automation, and IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions. Strong AWS and UNIX/Linux skills required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of application development experience in Python/Scala.
• 6+ years experience with relational databases and SQL.
• 5+ years experience with AWS cloud platforms and services.
• 5+ years experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and production support.
• 4+ years experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• 4+ years data warehousing experience with Snowflake.
• 4+ years UNIX/Linux experience.
• 5+ years Agile engineering practices.
• Experience using AI-assisted programming tools is a plus.
• Experience integrating SaaS or third-party products into enterprises is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using cloud, DevOps, and full-stack development tools.
• Work with a team of developers supporting multiple Python-based microservices, batch jobs, and cloud-native integrations.
• Integrate SaaS products and third-party platforms into the client ecosystem, ensuring secure connectivity, identity integration, monitoring, and operational readiness.
• Design and implement automation to streamline provisioning, deployment, monitoring, incident response, and ongoing platform support.
• Utilize Python, SQL, open-source RDBMS, and cloud-based data warehousing services such as Snowflake.
• Use AWS services such as ECS, EMR, S3, RDS, Athena, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, and related cloud infrastructure capabilities.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, automated deployments, and environment management processes.
• Apply extensive DevOps practices including automation, observability, reliability engineering, release management, and production support.
• Perform unit tests and conduct code reviews with other team members to ensure solutions are rigorously designed, securely implemented, effectively automated, and tuned for performance.
