Job summary

CloudFactory is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build, scale, and mature our platform with Go and modern cloud-native practices. You will collaborate with product teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to design features that support our mission-driven platform and global reach.

The role emphasizes reliability, performance, and thoughtful architectural decisions to handle growth, while mentoring teams and shaping technical strategy across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, building, and operating complex software systems at scale.
• Mastery of Go (Golang) and concurrent programming.
• Cloud-native proficiency with Kubernetes; IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• AWS or GCP expertise including managed services, networking, and security.
• Distributed systems background with microservices and messaging.
• Experience with CI/CD automation and observability stacks (New Relic, Prometheus, ELK).
• Ability to explain roadmaps to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build, review, and maintain production systems, primarily in Go.
• Advance DevOps practices including CI/CD, Kubernetes, and automation.
• Ensure reliability, security, and observability at scale.
• Manage technical debt and make architectural trade-offs aligned with growth.
• Design proofs-of-concept and support complex integrations for clients.
• Lead through code reviews, design docs, and mentorship for global teams.

Role Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in building, scaling, and maturing our technology platforms using cutting-edge technologies. You will work closely with Product teams, clients, and other internal stakeholders to design and develop platform features that enable the business to deliver on its core mission. Responsibilities:

High-performance engineering

• Build, review, and maintain mission-critical production systems, primarily in Go.

CI/CD and infrastructure

• Help evolve DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation.

Operational excellence

• Set the standard for reliability, security, and observability, ensuring features perform at scale rather than simply shipping.

Pragmatic strategy

• Manage technical debt and make high-stakes architectural trade-offs that align with business growth.

Client solution design

• Act as a bridge between the platform and the customer, designing proofs-of-concept and supporting complex integrations.

Technical mentorship

• Cultivate a culture of excellence by leading through code reviews, design docs, and hands-on support for global teams.

Must-have skills (required)

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating complex software systems at scale.
• Mastery of Go (Golang): able to write idiomatic, concurrent, and performant Go code.
• Cloud-native proficiency: treats Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) as standard tools in a senior engineer's toolkit.
• AWS/GCP expertise: deep experience navigating managed services, networking, and cloud security within AWS or GCP.
• Distributed systems background: strong grounding in microservices, asynchronous messaging, and data consistency.
• Proven experience with CI/CD automation and observability stacks (e.g., New Relic, Prometheus, or ELK).
• Client-facing presence: able to explain complex technical roadmaps to non-technical stakeholders with confidence.

Academic and professional requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-have skills (preferred)

• Experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, model evaluation pipelines, and techniques for improving model quality and reliability.
