Job summary

Everestek Technosoft Solutions is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD solutions. You will apply strong development skills in Python and TypeScript with hands-on AWS expertise.

You will implement IaC using Terraform/CloudFormation, automate deployment, and work closely with software teams to optimize pipelines and reliability. A leadership role mentoring junior engineers is included.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a related role.
• Strong development/scripting background in Python and TypeScript.
• Extensive AWS and cloud infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on with Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible for IaC.
• Strong CI/CD, build automation, and deployment expertise.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, Docker, or similar tools.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
• Solid networking knowledge: load balancers, VPNs, VPCs.
• Experience automating tests for infra and deployments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in Agile teams.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong software development and automation experience to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong development background, particularly in Python and/or TypeScript, along with hands‑on experience in AWS, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and DevOps practices.

The role requires someone who can go beyond pipeline configuration and contribute to the development, testing, automation, and optimization of DevOps solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation and DevOps solutions.


• Develop automation scripts and tools using Python, TypeScript, Bash, or similar scripting languages.


• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment automation.


• Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.


• Work extensively with AWS cloud services and cloud‑native infrastructure.


• Develop automated tests to validate infrastructure, automation, and deployment changes.


• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and application-related issues.


• Monitor system performance, reliability, availability, and capacity, and identify areas for improvement.


• Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to support application development and deployments.


• Design reusable and scalable automation solutions.


• Follow security, reliability, and quality best practices across infrastructure and deployment processes.


• Participate in technical planning, solution design, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related role.


• Strong software development/scripting experience with Python, TypeScript, or similar languages.


• Strong experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure.


• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.


• Strong understanding of CI/CD, build automation, and deployment processes.


• Experience with Jenkins, Git, Docker, or similar DevOps tools.


• Experience writing scripts and automation for infrastructure and deployment processes.


• Good understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows environments.


• Strong understanding of networking concepts such as load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, routing, and VPCs.


• Experience with automated testing and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.


• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.


• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
