Credibly is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement major components of our lending origination, servicing, and reporting system. You will mentor juniors and contribute hands-on development across a Python/React stack in a microservices architecture hosted on AWS.

You will collaborate with engineering, product and data science teams to create effective online lending solutions and lead major enhancements for clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience in Unix environments.
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or 6 years of relevant work experience).

The Opportunity

The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for design and implementation of major components of our lending origination, servicing, and reporting system. This is done through both personal hands-on development and mentoring / leading more junior team members of the team. Our technology is a microservices architecture purpose built for AWS cloud on an open-source stack using Python, React, DynamoDB, MySQL, Linux, Docker, Data Robot, Large Language Models and Generative AI.

What You Will Do:

• Work with the engineering, product and data science teams and business stakeholders to create, innovate and effective solutions that support on-line lending and servicing.
• Lead the design and development of new software products of major enhancements to existing software for clients and business partners.
• Analyze, vet and review code that support standard database and software solutions on an enterprise software platform hosted on AWS.

What Makes You Special:

• 5+ years of experience in software development, design and supporting various software applications in Unix environments.
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (in lieu of degree, 6 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in kanban agile tools and methodologies
• Familiarity with Cyber Security principles for WebAps is helpful.
• Experience in DevOps and MLOps is helpful.
