Job summary

Wintermeyer Ventures is assembling a fintech engineering team to build platform systems for AI-powered banking and customer service products. You will make architectural decisions, own APIs and data models, and ship production-grade services while balancing performance, cost, and scale.

You will lead design-to-delivery of LLM and agentic AI features, collaborating with product, design, and data partners. A strong background in software engineering and AI tooling is essential for this hands-on

Qualifications

• Three to six years of software engineering experience including system design.
• Experience leading a production platform or core service end to end with ownership.
• Recent experience shipping LLM or agentic AI features.
• Experience at startup or large tech company with a track record of ownership.
• Daily use of AI development tools such as Claude or Cursor and a CS/STEM degree.

Join a fintech engineering team building platform systems for AI-powered banking and customer service products. You will lead technical decisions and ship production-grade services, including practical LLM and agentic AI capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Design and build scalable, observable, maintainable platform services for AI-driven financial products.
• Own architecture, APIs, data models, performance, and security decisions from design through delivery.
• Take LLM and agentic AI features from design to production, balancing latency, reliability, cost, and scale.
• Work closely with engineering, product, design, and data partners to turn product priorities into shipped systems.
• Set engineering standards for code review, testing, deployment, and incident response, and use AI coding tools in daily development.

What We're Looking For

• Three to six years of software engineering experience, including hands-on system design, architecture, and coding.
• Experience leading a production platform or core service end to end, with clear ownership of architecture decisions and tradeoffs.
• Recent experience shipping LLM or agentic AI features to production users.
• Experience at an early- to growth-stage startup or a large technology company, with a track record of sustained ownership.
• Daily use of modern AI development tools, such as Claude or Cursor, and a degree in computer science or a related STEM field.
• Conversational or voice AI, NLP, fintech, banking, regulated financial services, or founding-engineer experience is a plus.

Base salary: $230,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
