Job summary

Wintermeyer Ventures is seeking an experienced engineer to design and ship AI-powered agent experiences in fintech, collaborating with product, design, and engineering to deliver safeguards from concept to deployment.

You will join a small team and own the full lifecycle of agentic features, leveraging TypeScript and Python, and building scalable web applications with strong CS fundamentals.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years experience as a full-stack or AI engineer.
• Experience designing, building, and shipping production AI agents or tool-using LLM systems, with safeguards.
• Experience building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Background in fintech payments, such as payouts, ledgers, or cross-border transactions.
• Strong experience with complex web applications and modern agentic system libraries and practices.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Python, and familiarity with LLMs and the WhatsApp API.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or other high-performing engineering environment, and regular use of AI coding tools.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.

About the Role

Join a small engineering team at a fintech company building workflow software and financial products for businesses, alongside AI-powered financial assistance for consumers. You will help design and deliver agentic experiences, with ownership from initial concept through deployment.

What You'll Do

• Build useful, engaging AI agent experiences for business and consumer customers.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver agentic features with appropriate safeguards.
• Own agentic experiences across ideation, architecture, implementation, and deployment.
• Develop and improve practices for building agentic software while maintaining quality, security, and performance.

What We're Looking For

• Four to eight years of experience as a full-stack engineer or AI engineer, including backend engineering experience beyond front-end development.
• Experience designing, building, and shipping production AI agents or tool-using LLM systems, including monitoring and safeguards.
• Experience building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) harnesses or pipelines.
• Background in fintech payments, such as payouts, ledgers, or cross-border transactions.
• Strong experience with complex web applications and modern agentic system libraries and practices.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and Python, and familiarity with LLMs and the WhatsApp API.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or other high-performing engineering environment, and regular use of AI coding tools.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $180,000 to $275,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
