Location: New York City or San Francisco

Compensation: $250k – $350k Base + Competitive Early-Stage Equity

About the Role

An early-stage startup, growing exceptionally fast with a small and talent-dense team, is hiring Senior Software Engineers to build and own core product from the ground up.

The team is small, senior, and moving quickly. This is a rare chance to join early, take real ownership, and shape both the product and the engineering culture as the company scales.

The work is product and backend focused, roughly 80% application development and 20% systems and platform work. You will build features end to end and own them in production.

What You'll Do

• Build product end to end in TypeScript and Python
• Take features from idea to production and own them fully
• Ship quickly in an environment with very little process
• Design and evolve backend services as the product grows
• Improve performance, reliability, and developer velocity
• Shape architecture, standards, and how the team scales from here

Who You Are

• 3–5 years of software engineering experience
• Time spent at high-growth, talent-dense startups
• Strong coding ability in TypeScript and Python
• A clear track record of shipping real product you can walk through
• Strong system design instincts and cross-team collaboration
• Motivated by ownership and pace over a big-company path
• Based in or willing to work in-person 3 days per week in NYC or SF

Notes

• This is product and application engineering. No Kubernetes or Terraform focus.
