Job summary

Arcfield is seeking software engineers to design, develop, and test integrated applications using C++ on Linux, React, HTML/CSS, and JSON. You will contribute to system and software integration, review code, and support agile teams with minimal supervision.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of software development experience, strong object‑oriented skills, and familiarity with Eclipse or VS Code, Jira, Confluence, and Maven. Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance within a year is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment to understand, create, and modify applications using technologies such as C++ (Linux), React, MariaDB, and Python.


• Design, develop, evaluate, and test system/software integration


• Interpret, assess,and support development and maintenance of requirements and software designs


• Perform code reviews and support feedback for resolution


• Ability to design and implement within an agile team environment with minimal direction


• Communicate regularly with functional team leads to ensure effective work partnerships

Qualifications

• BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2 in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technology field


• 10+ years of Software Development experience


• Experience with C++ (Linux), React, HTML, CSS, JSON


• Solid command of object-oriented software development and automated testing


• Experience with development under Linux-based systems


• Familiar with common IDE's such as Eclipse and VS Code, and tools such as Bamboo, Maven, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket


• Experienced with multiple network protocols, data transfer methods, and network debugging techniques


• Experienced with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB.


• Strong problem solving, automated testing, and debugging capabilities


• Effective written and verbal skills


• Able to work and thrive in both individual and team-based development environments


• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance within 1 year of employment

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
