Responsibilities

Arcfield provides systems engineering, integration, and digital transformation across space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains. Come join our team on a new contract supporting a joint customer Program Office responsible for acquiring the future GEOINT Ground Architecture that will provide the user community with capabilities in a modular, open architecture that provides global, persistent, real-time surveillance and activity-based intelligence information.

As a Senior Systems Engineer focusing on Mission Management, you will be an integral member of our contractor team, and you will play a critical role in supporting systems engineering and integration efforts within a dynamic and mission-driven Intelligence Community customer environment. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance, adherence to requirements, and alignment with overarching program objectives. You will work closely with program managers, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet mission needs.

Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Systems Engineering Leadership:
    • Serve as a technical lead for designated systems engineering efforts, ensuring compliance with standard Systems Engineering & integration (SE&I) processes, including engineering review board processes and practices.
    • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including requirements, risk assessments, and system performance metrics, and support development of schedules and status reports.
  • End-to-End Systems Oversight:
    • Oversee systems from an end-to-end perspective, ensuring proper integration, functionality, and performance across all components.
    • Coordinate with program managers and developers to ensure system requirements are met and align with broader program goals.
  • Cross-Component Coordination:
    • Facilitate collaboration between different system components and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration, including mission processing, dissemination, and operations components.
    • Support the definition and management of cross-cutting mission engineering threads, expressed as solution epics and program epics, that define capability delivery
    • Provide data management and support, ensuring data strategies, provenance, and optimizations are effectively implemented.
    • Evaluate system performance and identify opportunities for improvement, including faster processing and enhanced product delivery.
    • Work with system stakeholders across the IC and DoW to test and implement innovative solutions.
  • Knowledge of Acquisition Processes:
    • Support acquisition processes as needed, including contributing to independent government cost estimates and contract documentation.
    • Collaborate with contracting officers and other acquisition professionals to ensure compliance with organizational policies and timelines.
  • Strategic Input:
    • Align systems engineering efforts with the organization’s long-term vision (e.g., 2035 objectives).
    • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to leadership regarding system improvements and future capabilities.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to mission-critical systems within a forward-looking and innovative organization. The ideal candidate will have a technical mindset, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for driving solutions that enhance performance and meet mission objectives.
